Rüsselsheim/Zaragoza. The Opel/Vauxhall plant in Spain has made history today by producing its nine millionth Corsa. The five-door vehicle was manufactured at the Zaragoza plant and will be delivered to a customer in Germany.
The milestone “Color Stripes” Corsa vehicle has a striking green color and is powered by a 74 kW/100 hp 1.4 liter engine. It is equipped with the OPC Line pack 1 which emphasizes the car’s youthful and sporty appearance with a special body kit.
The Corsa has enjoyed a successful track record after it was first launched in 1982. The site has been constantly modernized with 90 percent of its output exported to the UK, Germany, Italy and France.
The Opel/Vauxhall Corsa has won industry recognition for its reliability. In 2010, the German DEKRA Defects Report declared the Corsa the overall winner, with the lowest rate of defects (2.4 percent) of all vehicles tested.
