Rüsselsheim. Opel CEO Nick Reilly today announced another member of the Opel leadership team.
Effective February 1, Dr. Susanne Wegerhoff has been appointed Vice President, Opel Communications, reporting to Reilly. In this capacity, she will be responsible for all Opel corporate, product and brand communications activities in Europe.
Wegerhoff is a seasoned Communications leader with extensive automotive experience. She holds a Masters degree from Brandeis University and a doctoral degree from Munich University. Wegerhoff started her career as a business editor with the Associated Press. She worked at Chemical Bank and American Express before joining Ford of Europe in 1995 where she held various communications leadership positions in London and Cologne during a 10-year stint. Wegerhoff became the Head of Corporate Communications at German Rail Group in 2004 and led their Investor Relations and Financial Communications as of 2006.
“With Dr. Susanne Wegerhoff, we’re adding another strong and experienced leader to the Opel management team,” said Reilly. “Her extensive communications leadership experience will be crucial as we’re preparing Opel for growth.”
