Opel and ALD Automotive announce pan-European leasing agreement
Significant step to strengthen Opel’s position in Western Europe and Turkey

Rüsselsheim. Opel and ALD Automotive have joined forces to create a wide-reaching leasing operation in Western Europe and Turkey. ALD Automotive will operate Opel branded leasing in France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, and Turkey. This brings to seven the total number of markets where ALD Automotive will manage private label leasing operations following their entry into the UK market in August 2009. Under this new partnership, ALD Automotive will provide Opel dealers with a portfolio of leasing products to support motor vehicle sales in both the corporate and small business markets.
This new agreement allows Opel business leasing customers and Opel dealers to benefit from a comprehensive and competitive range of innovative funding and management products. Alain Visser, Opel Vice President Sales, Marketing & Aftersales says, “The agreement is a significant step towards strengthening Opel’s position in key European markets; I am very pleased to announce that Opel and ALD International are embarking on this new leasing partnership.”
ALD Automotive has considerable expertise in this field, with over 10 years of experience operating a successful Dealer Services division. Opel dealers will thus benefit from well established IT systems and a dedicated support infrastructure.
ALD Automotive Group is the vehicle leasing and fleet management business line of Société Générale Bank, managing 780,000 vehicles in 39 countries, and it is the second largest vehicle leasing company in Europe.
