Rüsselsheim. The Opel Vivaro Sport, which celebrated its world premiere at last year’s IAA for Commercial Vehicles in Hannover, combines dynamic design with subtle details and the usual practicality of an LCV. The new variant, available as a Combi, van and double cab and in two lengths up to 2.9t gross vehicle weight, can now be ordered for an attractive entry-level price of €28,800 .
The Vivaro Sport brings a surprising level of design and equipment details to the vehicle class – as standard. Silver or black decorative strips complement selected paintworks. They adorn the side of the vehicle along with the hood and the roof giving the Vivaro Sport a dynamic look. Seventeen-inch aluminum wheels – optionally available in black – emphasize the sporting appearance. The headlamps sparkle with energy-saving LED daytime running lights; cornering fog lights are also included.
Privacy glazing for the side and rear windows protects passengers of the Combi variant from the sun and prying eyes. Air-conditioning as standard ensures pleasant temperatures on the inside. Optional leather fittings and velour mats with contrasting white stitching refine the ambience even further. Vivaro Sport passengers are well entertained with the modern Navi 50 IntelliLink infotainment system that features Bluetooth audio streaming and automatic music recognition for audio devices, and USB port or voice control via Siri for compatible Apple devices. Customers are also able to choose the new Navi 80 IntelliLink infotainment system as an option. For a price of €1,150, it also offers minute-by-minute real-time traffic information that shows traffic congestion and can suggest alternative routes. Cruise control with speed limiter guarantees a relaxing drive. Rear Park Assist based on ultra-sonic sensors protects against unwanted bumps when parking.
The Vivaro Sport also demonstrates its talents in the luggage compartment. The optional Design Cargo Pack (available for double cab for prices starting at €1,650) gives the cargo area style and protection with dark-grey side panels, load-restraint lashing eyes, practical storage compartments and blue ambience lighting.
To ensure that customers have access to the best possible deal, Opel have decided to bundle many of the features and make them available at reasonable prices in the Champion Pack. The package includes Keyless Open, Navi 80 IntelliLink infotainment with touchscreen including DAB+, Bluetooth and USB port, as well as automatic climate control (for van and double cab), Irmscher Tourer Pack and the Design Cargo Pack (for double cab). The Champion Pack is available for €1,750 for the van variant, for €2,950 for the Combi and €3,250 for the double cab.
The engine offering available for the Vivaro Sport complements the dynamic exterior and cost-cutting packages perfectly.
